Feb 23, 2018 | France, Nature, Photography

These photos were taken with my Nikon D5200 on three consecutive mornings from Feb 6th to 8th, between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., in the fields around my village, in the greater Paris area or Ile De France.

I document my morning walk everyday on my Instagram account.

I started this habit just for the personal pleasure of documenting the seasons and to serve as a visual reference for photos that I might want to take later with my pro camera, but my morning walk is proving to be quite popular on IG and FB, which is of course very gratifying.

I have several different walks and one takes us passed this poulailler, a now abandoned battery chicken barn, on the outskirts of the village.

Out into the fields and wide horizons that I love so much, although on this day it was snowing, windy and well below zero! But I’d been waiting for snowfall for four years and I rather revel in extreme (wish) weather conditions. It makes me feel like a romantic heroine, battling the elements, thoughts of Wuthering Heights and so on.

We walk around several fields where there will soon be cereal crops growing.  My faithful companion, Melody, on all my walks, fortunately she loves cold weather.

I hope you have enjoyed this little tour of my much loved and frequently trampled French countryside.
