In 2024, I was banned by META for posting some of this photo series “She Leaves Him, He Kills Her” in my feed.
No explanation, no response to my opposition, they just deleted my accounts and I had to start over.

Femicide, the intentional killing of a woman, because of her gender, is not an isolated act of violence.
It is the end result of a long series of physical and psychological abuse. It invariably happens when the woman finds the energy and the means to leave her abuser.

This series is ambiguous in that the man's hand on the woman's body can signify either passion or abuse. When does one become the other? The limit between the two emotions within a couple may be blurred.

The series was inspired not by personal experience, but by the inherited trauma of women in my family across generations.
