Those of you lovely people who have been following me for a while will know that I live near Versailles. The chateau and it’s domaine is one of my favourite places to photograph. There is so much beauty to see both inside and outside.

Having shot a series of images in the gardens there last summer that went on to win the first prize in the Fotonostrum International Photography Awards, Architecture category, I decided to go back recently on a very rainy day. I enjoy photographing the same places through out the seasons and I like to challenge myself to produce interesting images, no matter the weather and light.

However, with the current health crisis due to the COVID-19 virus, the chateau and the park are closed at the moment and for the next few weeks/months. 

I receive the newsletter, in which I discovered that there is a series of videos (often with English subtitles) on the chateau’s You Tube Channel.
